Chapter 826 - Han Wu vs. the Butcher

Inside the Slaughter God King’s special domain, Han Wu battled countless corpses in his Fetterbane Dragonforge form.

The corpses ranged from weak to powerful, and their numbers seemed endless. No matter how hard Han Wu pushed forward or how many techniques he unleashed, he couldn’t break through their encirclement.

Even so, as the battle dragged on, Han Wu kept growing stronger. His Conversion Jurisdiction transformed the energy generated by all of his Microcosms into eight enormous hands. Each strike from those hands annihilated vast swathes of the corpses.

Meanwhile, his Duel Jurisdiction was slowly unlocking itself with every exchange. At the same time, his core operated at full capacity, using its enormous processing power to search for a way to break through the Butcher’s defenses. Whether it would find a solution before death arrived remained unknown.

The Butcher could sense Han Wu steadily growing stronger through the endless fighting. The realization left him both impressed and envious. What a talent. Why could someone like this not serve under me?

“Xu Hai is a lucky man, but his luck ends here,” the Butcher muttered.

He had no interest in watching Han Wu slowly wear down. He wanted Han Wu dead quickly. He fixed his gaze on Han Wu, and nine pupils surfaced one after another within his left eye. He was drawing upon the Nine-Eyed Evil God’s power.

As the nine eyes appeared, another barrier formed within the Slaughter Jurisdiction domain. It was the familiar Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal, though this version dwarfed the one Huang Shengjun had used in the past. The moment the seal activated, Han Wu could still sense his Microcosms’ existence, but he could no longer access them or summon any followers.

That was only one ability of the Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal. Its other ability allowed it to seal individual powers directly. Han Wu had experienced its sealing ability firsthand before, and the memory was still fresh.

The situation was already dire enough. If the seal stripped away nine of his powers on top of everything else, the battle would be completely unwinnable. Based on the knowledge he had gained in the Seal Civilization, countering a seal required understanding its structure.

Han Wu had no time to study the Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal’s structure right now. That left only one option. He had to seal the enemy first before the seal reached him.

He made his decision at once. The five Divine Weapons orbiting him unleashed their power, and the terrifying twelve-Ring Five Element Seal descended. Almost simultaneously, the Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal fired a beam directly at Han Wu, aiming to seal one of his powers.

Han Wu met it head-on with the Five Element Seal.

The two seals clashed. The Small Locust Blade, acting as one of the Five Element Seal’s cores, intercepted the beam and took the hit in Han Wu’s place. Immediately after, Han Wu sensed the blade go still, as if it had fallen into a deep sleep. He could no longer control it.

One of the nine eyes above closed. That alone told Han Wu that the Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal had sealed one of his Divine Weapons instead of one of his powers. Eight Divine Weapons were still floating around him.

The remaining pupils continued firing sealing beams, but he used his Divine Weapons to intercept every attack. Losing his Divine Weapons was unfortunate, but it was far better than losing nine powers.

The Butcher grew more agitated as his tactic failed. A black blade lined with nine pupils appeared in his hand, radiating dense negative emotion.

Han Wu narrowed his eyes at the sight of it. If his guess was correct, that black blade contained the powers of both the Dark King and the Nine-Eyed Evil God. Its strength was immeasurable and could not be underestimated.

With his nine Divine Weapons sealed, only Locust-V remained within the Divine Weapon Atlas. However, Locust-V had fused with the Machine God, who should currently be inside the divine realm. Even so, Han Wu decided to try summoning him.

That was when he discovered the loophole. V emerged from the Divine Weapon Atlas and arrived beside Han Wu.

Han Wu was pleasantly surprised. The Divine Weapon Atlas had somehow bypassed the Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal’s restrictions and pulled V through. That alone was impressive.

He also recalled how Huang Shengjun had attempted to seal his Avatar Creation, only to forcibly summon Han Wu’s true self instead. That proved the seal had loopholes worth studying further. However, now wasn’t the time for that.

“V, switch to your weapon form,” Han Wu commanded.

V complied immediately. His mechanical frame clicked and shifted before transforming into a 10,000-meter-long gun, fitted with hundreds of barrels. It was a massively enlarged version of Locust-V.

Han Wu, standing 100,000 meters tall, gripped the 10,000-meter-long Locust-V and fired at the corpses swarming toward him. The bullets pierced effortlessly through them and flew toward the Slaughter God King behind them.

The Butcher’s black blade flashed. Enormous blade auras destroyed every incoming round before they streaked straight toward Han Wu.

Han Wu adjusted the Locust-V’s configuration. The hundreds of barrels merged into a single cannon barrel, and a concentrated laser beam erupted from it.

“Starfall Laser Cannon!”

The laser beam cancelled out the Butcher’s blade auras and burned through every obstacle in its path. It finally reached the Butcher himself, but a shield formed from dense negative energy intercepted the blast and stopped it from breaking through.

At first, they appeared evenly matched. However, the shattered corpses around Han Wu were already reassembling themselves. One by one, they retrieved their blades and attacked Han Wu again.

Han Wu had no choice but to redirect his fire. He raised Locust-V and fired straight upward at the Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal space above him. The seal was extraordinarily tough. Despite enduring the full force of the bombardment, it didn’t crack.

“Han Wu, you cannot destroy the Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal!” the Butcher roared and began gathering energy. The terrifying power accumulating around him, along with the boundless negative energy, made it evident that his next strike wouldn’t be simple.

“Is that so? I happen to be someone who doesn’t take no for an answer. Let me try and see. Runic Ring!” Han Wu roared back.

A Divine Ring composed entirely of runes emerged behind him. It was the Runic Ring he had taken from the Ninth Guard. Runes specifically designed to break barriers rapidly spread across Locust-V.

The resulting Starfall was fundamentally different. Supercharged with barrier-piercing power, the laser beam tore through the Nine-Eyed Evil God Seal and caused it to collapse.

The Butcher didn’t care. His strongest strike was already fully charged. “You should feel honored to die beneath my strongest move. World-Slaughtering Slash!”
