Chapter 261: The Crystal War Part I (The beginning of the Crystal War Saga)
“That was all you could do, Vincent?!!”
A resounding growl was heard throughout the area as its immense pressure made the sky frantic. There stood a tall man who had eyes like fire and the red light beams were spreading out to be four pairs of wings!
“This is the chosen emperor? That was all you got?!”
BOOM!
Hundreds of red beams were shot out of the palm of the bloody-red-eyed man. The destroyer’s magic was going straight at the enemy strongly, before splitting out like pouring rain, making another tall man who was running on the ground pace up at his full speed.
“Damn it! How’s his attack so fast?!”
Wisana could only curse as he looked up at the sky with sharp eyes that sparkled with seriousness in them. Then he saw his worst enemy was attacking him in the air above, and he could only clench his jaws about it.
“I can’t get near him!”
“All you can do is run?!” the owner of the ruby-colored eyes shouted out like he was trying to provoke Wisana. “Aren’t you the only complete Signerater in the world? Why are you only running and hiding like that?!”
Wisana was not bothered listening to him. His eyes only focused on the path he was running in front of him. His brain was running fast like the rat on the wheel to figure out a way to win intensely. This was not the first time he had had to fight an enemy that was brutal like a monster like this, but this was the first time that he could sense clearly that he was losing in every way.
Losing in the way that he could not fight back!!
With the abilities,
And the strategy.
This monster named Lucius was the wall that was too tall for him to climb across right now!
“Pathetic! How could you say that you would carry your fate all by yourself out loud? You’re not different from anyone else, kid. Eventually, you will end up like your parents, Vincent!”
After he had been running for a while, those were the words that got on his nerves, making him pause.
“You will die like them. Die so uselessly like a stray dog on the street!”
The tall man stopped running. His amber eyes were flashing with rage in a way they had never been before. Wisana looked up at the enemy furiously. He even forgot that he was running to dodge the magic bullets right now!
BOOM!!!
As expected, hundreds of the bullets flew right at Wisana, causing a strong explosion as the fire and smoke spread out wide in the area. The cloud of white smoke that was proof of how bad the damage was caused was floating up high, not seeming like it would fade down so soon.
The tall man who was floating around 50 meters above the ground frowned his eyebrows together. There was no smile on his face.
But suddenly, those ruby-red eyes of his glanced back like he just sensed something coming!
“The Jumper, huh? Not bad, Vincent!!”
“Lucius, you douchebag!!”
Without saying any more words, Wisana spread the Butterfly Effect wings, making the blue aura spark its particles out wide. Then he attacked the enemy by turning the fire element into a massive sword!
WHOOSH!!
The sound of the weapon going fast through the air with full force, but the attack from the sword was totally ineffective. Lucius’s body had faded away from his sight now. But when he appeared again, he was already behind Wisana’s back!
“Slow to attack, slow to decide, and you got the worst choice of choosing the sword as well! But above all, you let the rage take over all the calmness you have.”
BOOM!!
1,235,024!!
After Lucius’s voice ended, Wisana’s back exploded with full force, because the red magic beams hit him mercilessly.
Without a smile on his face, Lucius looked at Wisana falling to the ground below. ...But a second later, his brain suddenly had a stingy pain like it was being squeezed harshly, so the ruby-colored eyes looked above his head without any reason, then, he saw Wisana flying there.
Moreover, the owner of those sparkling amber eyes was not there alone, but there were approximately 60 illusions of himself, and each of them had turned the magic elements into various kinds of weapons!
“Let’s try this, Lucius. How are you going to escape the attacks from 60 illusions?!”
Lucius did not say anything in reply. He was just getting ready to fight, as well as every illusion of Wisana that rushed toward the enemy with weapons fast.
Then the battle in the middle of the sky with 60 against 1 had started off violently.
Wisana controlled all his 60 illusions freely. So, the attacks were not about outnumbering the enemy only, but he used his illusions to defend, decoy, and take damage as well. It was a perfect attack, a flawless pattern, ...if the enemy he was fighting against was not the man named Lucius.
“Damn! He can see the future or what?!”
Wisana barely put his curses into words. Even though he used more numbers to attack, even though there was not anywhere to hide, Lucius could still dodge his various kinds of attacks with just a little bit of his movement!
Moreover, while he was dodging the attacks, the owner of the ruby-colored eyes also shot his magic beam back to destroy each of Wisana’s illusions at the same time patiently!
“Well, you kind of surprised me, though...”
He said in a plain voice. Those red eyes were staring at one of Wisana’s illusions that was holding a level 5 air element spear!
“But this kind of tactic doesn’t work on me!!!”
After that, Lucius was nowhere to be found. A blink later, he appeared again next to that illusion of Wisana before he kicked the spear out of its hands easily.
“So, this is the real one, right?” Lucius said in a soft voice.
“Sh*t!!”
BOOM!!!
752,697!
Then Wisana got hit in the chest by a strong explosion, knocking him backward before losing his balance and falling to the ground with a loud crashing noise!!
“H ...how, UGH!!!”
He did not finish his sentence, because there was a red magic spear piercing through the middle of his torso and sticking right into the rock that he was leaning on right now.
Red blood was gushing out of his mouth. The pain that he had never felt before ran all over him, almost making him lose consciousness. His breathing was stuck so that the air was barely found in his lungs anymore...
So, this was it.
This was the pain that his mother suffered.
“D ...damn it. G ...get off me.”
Those words were pushed out with a big lot of blood. His eyes started to get dull, and he could barely see anything. However, his rough hands were still trying to grab the red spear in his chest, and pulled it out with all his strength, even though that would cause him unbearable pain!!
“ARRRGH!”
Wisana shouted the loudest from where he could remember. He had never been in as much pain before.
“God damn it. I ...it can’t be pulled out!”
“Compared with your mother, you can’t even make me drop a sweat.”
