Duan Yiheng received a call from Lin Xi while driving to Yinfan Technology.

"We won the bid! We won the bid!" Lin Xi exclaimed, stamping her feet in her office with joy.

Duan Yiheng: "What did I tell you? You can do it."

"Uh-huh."

There was a knock on the door. Lin Xi said, "I have to talk to you now, someone is knocking."

Duan Yiheng's words caught in his throat. He wanted to say that he was almost at the company, but after thinking about it, he gave up and said that he would be there after just one more intersection.

"Manager Lin, some users have been affected by a new type of financial fraud. The director wants you to go upstairs to a meeting in her place. She is on her way back."

Xu Yu was on a business trip out of town and had just gotten off the plane.

Lin Xi nodded: "Okay, I understand."

When Duan Yiheng arrived, he found no one there. Fortunately, there were still people in the department who found out the reason. He went straight upstairs to the conference room.

Lin Xi was taken aback when she saw him and subconsciously asked, "Why are you here?"

Duan Yiheng strode over to Lin Xi, pulled up a chair, and sat down: "Continue. Pretend I don't exist."

Vice President Chao Duan Yiheng nodded slightly, continuing the interrupted meeting.

At 9 p.m., the meeting ended, and Xu Yushan arrived late.

Xu Yu said, "Okay, I just came to check it out because I was worried."

Back in her office, Lin Xi asked Duan Yiheng with surprise, "Why are you here?"

Duan Yiheng gestured for her to turn her head: "You were so focused on me that you didn't see the flowers I bought for you."

Lin Xi turned around, and a pink blush flashed before her eyes.

Duan Yiheng said, "You said you bought it at the last minute when you won the bid. Congratulations."

"Thank you," Lin Xi said with a smile. "You've kept me company in the meeting for so long, are you hungry? Shall we go eat?"

Duan Yiheng put his arm around her waist and was about to kiss her when Lin Xi hurriedly dodged away, saying, "Don't be silly, we're still in the office."

"Manager Lin, you have so many rules." Duan Yiheng pinched her nose.

“Who has more rules?” Lin Xi retorted. “I’m just following the company’s bylaws. It’s clearly your own problem.”

"Yes, yes, I overstepped my bounds." Duan Yiheng took a step back. "To celebrate, let me treat you to dinner."

As soon as Duan Yiheng opened the office door, Xu Yu came in and said, "I need to talk to Lin Xi about something."

"She's inside." Duan Yiheng stepped aside to let her in.

Five minutes later, Xu Yu came out of Lin Xi's office. Duan Yiheng casually gave a brief instruction outside, and someone immediately volunteered to buy food for him and Lin Xi.

Duan Yiheng watched Lin Xi finish her meal. Lin Xi rinsed her mouth and said to Duan Yiheng, "My office can't compare to yours. Why don't you go upstairs and rest for a while?"

Duan Yiheng shook his head: "You go about your business."

Lin Xi had no choice but to sit back down at the computer, and Duan Yiheng quietly and patiently stayed with her for two hours.

When she looked up, she saw Duan Yiheng staring at her, and Lin Xi's cheeks flushed slightly: "You're not going to just keep staring at me like this, are you?"

Lin Xi smiled: "Then come over here."

Duan Yiheng stood up with a smile, walked aggressively towards her step by step, grabbed her chin and kissed her.

Their lips and tongues intertwined in a deep, moist kiss that lasted until Lin Xi was completely breathless before Duan Yiheng finally released her.

"Go home." Duan Yiheng almost touched her lips.

Lin Xi got up and threw her phone and car keys into her bag. Duan Yiheng's phone vibrated at that moment.

She instinctively turned her head and asked, "Is there something you need so late?"

Duan Yiheng quickly turned his phone slightly so she couldn't see it, and said, "It's okay, let's go home."

Lin Xi felt a little uncomfortable for a moment.
